Worship Folder - May 9, 2010GOOD SHEPHERD LUTHERAN SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER Pastor Clint K. Poppe * Pastor Lance D. Berndt STATEMENT OF COMMUNION PRACTICE Because those who eat and drink our Lord’s body and blood unworthily do so to their great harm and because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith confessed at this altar, any who are not yet instructed, in doubt, or who hold a confession differing from that of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, and are unable to receive the Sacrament are invited to meditate on God’s Word in the distribution hymns and pray for the day when divisions will have ceased. A culture that encourages women to destroy life is a culture that rebels against God’s design for his creation. A culture that doubts the created differences between the ‘ defender’ of life (male) and the ‘bearer’ of life (female) is a culture that has been deceived by Satan’s question: ‘Did God really say?’ (Genesis 3: 1) Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Church Address: • Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 3825 Wildbriar Lane • Lincoln, Nebraska 68516-4502 E-mail: Info@goodshepherdlincoln.org |
