The September gathering of the Nebraska Lutherans for Confessional Study (NLCS) will be held on Thursday, September 29 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Wildbriar Lane in Lincoln. Refreshments will be in the fellowship hall at 9:30 am followed by Matins at 10 am. Presenter for the morning session will be Rev. Clint Poppe, pastor, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lincoln. He will continue a series of presentations on CFW Walther’s “True Visible Church on Earth,” picking up at Thesis IV. The morning session will start at 10:30. The afternoon session will follow lunch. Presenter for the afternoon will be Rev. Scott Porath of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Eagle. His topic will be “The Unbiblical Removal of Pastors.” Meeting will conclude by 2:30 pm. Everyone is invited, both clergy and laity. A free-will offering will be taken to help defray expenses.
